First-person survival game

Trapt is a horror game by Azaxor. The game centers around the last known recording of a missing person. The footage was found by the police, but only you can view it.  You must go on a terrifying adventure with the goal of altering the ending. You do not have any weapons or maps with you when you head underground. All you need is to make the right choices or turns, and you will - hopefully - reach it to the Good Ending. Choose wrong, and the footage will unveil the horrifying events that transpired the day the person was killed.

Truly horrifying experience

At launch, you will notice the game uses a VHS aesthetic to portray the found footage. You will be hard-pressed to navigate through the sewers, as the game eliminates your peripheral vision and all light sources. As you traverse through the sewers, you will find dead bodies of other missing people. You can move in three ways. You can dash, crouch, and jump. Rather than use WASD keys, the game uses Shift, Ctrl, and Space, respectively.

The game has two endings: Good and Bad. There is no clear path to reaching these conclusions, and it will be based on luck. You also cannot avoid the Bad ending once you have entered it; a masked man will appear quickly followed by a creature. Immediately, the game will display the text explaining how you died. The road towards the Good ending is also unclear. But, it requires that you find a key that unlocks the exit door.

Trapt utilizes the first-person point of view to deliver a terrifying game that makes players feel claustrophobic and disturbed. By limiting its player’s vision and controls and placing the setting in a dark and completely silent sewer makes the experience feel real.
